Things to do in Playa Zancudo


At Playa Zancudo, the Pacific Ocean is the playground where visitors can involve themselves in a variety of water sports like, sport fishing, scuba diving, snorkeling, horseback riding, water-skiing, kayaking, or tours of the nearby Rio Coto Colorado. You can also visit the Casa Orquideas Botanical Gardens and walk trails close to the river.

Playa Zancudo is a sleepy Costa Rican village extending along two miles of unpaved road. On one side of the peninsula lies a river estuary filled with marine life, bird and animal life.

Getting to Playa Zancudo

Access to Playa Zancudo is either by boat or a long and rough 1.5 hour car ride from the town of Golfito; or you can take a water taxi from the docks.
